Dan, my pleasure. Amazingly and surprising, with all the covers in place in 95 degree direct sun midday it was very comfortable. Not 70 that it was set on but mid 70s. The water was near 90 also. At night it get cold! Very impressed with the unit.

Wow...that is good to hear. After all the negative comments on the inadequacy of the AC on the R21, so glad it is "more than adequate" on the R-23!

Great thread and original post Stags. I am in a very similar age and though process as you right now but still probably 2 to 3 years away from pulling the trigger on a tug. I do have a SO other and while we have not seen the 23 in person I think she is hesitant about the head situation.

We would use the 23 as a weekender and maybe one or two 5-7 day trips a year. I like the outboard option as that is what I am most used to at this point and not needing to get a bigger tow vehicle if I go with a bigger tug such as a 25sc. Please continue this great dialogue everyone!

"The Head Situation"? I believe when my wife and I were your age we could make it thru the night without a bathroom visit. See your doctor if you are not able to.Now in our mid 60's that is not always the case. In 45 plus years of our relationship we have seen the good, the bad and the ugly. The head situation is a minor issue.
