I have a 2013 r31 and when I use the inverter I get a reverse polarity reading when switch is set to shore power. When I change the switch to generator (no generator running), normal polarity, but voltage only between 100 and 110. Has my Pro Mariner charger/inverter gone bad, is this normal or would you suspect another electrical issue? Recommendations for Pro Mariner replacement?

What are you plugged into for shore power? How long is the cord? If there is too much resistance in a long connection reverse polarity light can come on. Check the polarity of your shore power connection. If correct, then check for a loose connection at the shore and boat receptacles as well as at the ELCI. If all check out good it is likely due to a too long or thin or damaged shore cable. If it’s just due a long shore cable and you. Are not running a heavy load then you can likely just ignore the reverse polarity. It happens all the time if we string multiple shore cables to reach power at marinas.
Under inverter power it is normal for the voltage to read low without a load. If you turn on the microwave you should see the voltage jump up.

My problem occurs when NOT plugged into shore power.
I have this exact same issue. Depending on who you want to listen to, it could be one of a couple things. The one I have only seen said one other time, but makes the most sense to me, is that this is just how the quasisign wave units work. Under light load, they output a lower voltage (mine is 100v when running 1 fan). The other thing I have seen said is it is a sign of the unit failing. Seeing as a majority of what we have using 100+ volt power has power supplies that are able to adapt to that voltage, we have not spent any money on correcting this yet (everything but a cheap fan that is).
