Inverter issues 31CB

On day 1 of the Loop, R31 CB, 2023, standard batteries. Trying to use inverter at anchor. Kisae.inverter will only work if generator is running or shore power plugged in, but blank screen otherwise. No error messages. Just will not turn on. What am I missing?

On ours you have to push the power button on the control panel to get it to turn on.

Yes, it works fine when connected to shore power or when generator is on. But the point of an inverter is to be able to use stored 12v energy from the battery bank and use 1110v for brief periods, without using shore or generator power. When I am at anchor, I should be able to use inverter to run the microwave, for example.

Is it possible the settings on the inverter have been set to turn off when there’s no external power? I do this when storing over the winter so the batteries aren’t drained if power is lost.

You’ll have to dig in the manual a bit, but there’s a helpful diagram that shows you how many button clicks to get to the desired menu item

For sure. I think the two main things to check are
1) Red rotary switch on - needs to be on for inverter to turn 12V DC to 120 V AC
2) Kisae control panel power button on on
