inverter won't power up

looking for suggestions regarding my Inverter. My boat is an R23. I have many times started the inverter with no problems. I found a reset for the inverter near the battery's, no luck. Everything works in the boat with the exception of the Inverter.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

I would use a multi meter and check that there is power (12 volt DC) going to the inverter. There should be a switch and fuse between it and the batteries that supply power to it. If power to the inverter is good you may have to unship the inverter and check its internal fuses. They are usually ATAC fuses like those used in a car.

I don't know if my inverter is similar to yours or not, but I had a similar problem. All visible fuses and circuit breakers appeared to be OK, but the inverter wouldn't turn on. The problem turned out to be what I couldn't see. By reaching up through a hole near the entrance to the cave, I could feel the completely hidden inverter. Exploring the area more with my fingers, I located what felt like a GFI reset button. Pressing it resolved the problem.

Thanks Marshall, I will explore that possibility. I saw that hole and was going to look in there with a flashlight before I started to take the Inverter off the wall.
