Our 2013 R-25SC has a Jabsco manual pump head, which has not worked properly since we bought it last fall. During the sea trial, we found that it would not pump water into the bowl; but if we filled it manually it would pump out. The dealer chose to send me a complete pump assembly to fix the problem.
I have now replaced the complete pump assembly, with joker valve, etc, but I'm not sure if it is working properly. When I pump water into the bowl, it also pumps out at the same time, so that only a small amount of water remains in the bottom. If I fill the bowl manually, it will stay in the bowl and I can pump it out as normal.
Since this unit has never worked properly, I'm wondering if this is normal operation? I would have expected that the wet setting would pump water into the bowl and it would stay there, allowing you to leave the bowl partly full, like our toilet at home, so stuff doesn't stick to the bowl.
Did I do something wrong, or is this working as it should? Suggestions?
