Anyone know the bulb replacement part number and where to order one. I can't seem to find the part number in the manual. I am sure a GE replacement would be available somewhere.

Thanks,

Mike Rizzo

Hi Mike, take the old one out and look on the back, the number will be there. It's a common spot light, Amazon will have them in stock for under $20.00. The fun part is putting it back together. I had a really bad time with it. Good luck.

That is kind of why I was looking for the part number in advance.

I have not purchased the bulb. Several sites cross reference the GE bulb to the Jabsco bulb. I just put up a link to one of the cheaper ones. I would almost be willing to bet the GE bulb is form, fit and function the same as the Jabsco bulb. GE clones most other manufacture bulbs (or vice-versa)

Googling "GE 4700" yields numerous online vendors, most of whom describe the bulb as a combination spot and flood and include illustrations showing three terminals and two filaments, as would be expected in a dual-purpose bulb.

just ordered one from replacementlightbulbs.com via amazon. Thanks guys for the input. I'm looking forward to replacing the bulb to the light I never use, but burned out because I accidently hit the switch and it was on for a very long time!  😳 At least I will have it for when I need it!

I hope you have an easier time changing it than I did. It took two of us to hold the clamp on and tighten it up. If you come up with a better way, please post it. I had to replace ours because one of the lugs broke off. I think it was a spot light I got from Amazon, I have to learn to keep better notes.

I am I the process of replacing mine now. The collar screw is the absolute minimum length. I plan on getting one slightly longer. This should alleviate the gymnastics involved trying to hold the collar in place and tighten screw

The Jabsco 67296-0000 crosses to GE 4700. BIG difference in price. Here is a GE bulb for 20 bucks http://www.elightbulbs.com/GE-39906...oogleBaseCSE?gclid=CPip64ac874CFY0DOgodP0QAvQ

Went to the site, but it is not clear if this goes from spot to flood. Have you purchased it?

Well, no cigar on this one! I ordered the bulb and failed to realize that the diameter is incorrect. I called the supplier and according to them the par 4700 is the size that it comes in 4-1/4 inches. The bulb in the Jabsco, as far as I can tell, is 5-1/2 inches. So back to the drawing board. Did anyone find a proper replacement that is less expensive than $72.00? That is what I see on Hamilton Marine as a replacement bulb for the searchlight.

I just ordered the Jabsco replacement . I got it from WM which means no discount although I had a number of rebate coupons from them so I didn't pay.....on the bulb at least..

Hi Mike,

I wonder if this is a PAR 46, 13V 100W spot/flood. The 4007 might fit, look at: http://www.donsbulbs.com/cgi-bin/r/b.pl/4007st~usa.html

I have seen the Jabsco replacement for a little over $40, search for Jabsco 64046-0006. Fisheries supply lists it for $41.04 without logging in, it will likely be less with the Ranger Tug discount.

Thanks for the info Howard. I am going to the boat to remove it and get exact dimensions and see if there is a number on it.

Removed the bulb, on the back it is stamped as follows: Wagner 13v 4007 100/100w. It measured approximately 5-1/2 inches. A little difficult to measure it while on a rocking boat on a mooring, but I believe the measurement is fairly accurate. I located one on Amazon for $13.00 . Hopefully this is the correct fit. I will let you know when it arrives.
