Jensen TV with Amazon Firestick?

Is it possible to use a Firestick on the standard TV? Hookups (USB & HDMI) work. WIFI connects ok to the on-board WIFI network. However it shows "no internet connection" -a problem. If the on-board WIFI is 'local wireless only', to sync. with iPad or phone for ActiveCaptain, it may be pretty much useless for the TV application, despite what Garmin tells you?

I have a Majestic TV. I use it with a Firestick all the time. Should be no issue. Just make sure the Firestick is set up with the WiFi you want to use. You can tether it to your phone to test it just in case there is an issue with the local WiFi.

We use Firestick with Majestic TV and iPhone as hot spot. Works great!

Hi,
You do not configure the tv for wifi. You go into the firestick settings/network and select your hotspot. If your hotspot is password protected, the firestick will ask you the password. Once set, you will have wifi to your firestick.
If you are in a marina or other area that has acceptable wifi, you can do the same process to select through the firestick settings.
