Jocker valve (sp?)

Good Afternoon,
We have an 2008 R25 and our head seems to allow a little liquid to bleed back into the bowl after flushing. A fellow boater thought it is the joker valve. I am not sure of the spelling but it is a valve that prevents liquid from bleeding back into the bowl.
Any ideas on this?
Two questions,
1. What is the model or brand of the head?
2. If it is the valve how do you replace?

Joker valve is a black rubber mooring that acts like a check valve. It should be replace ever year. You will need the brand of toilet and any marine store will ace the replacement. If it a jabsco, might have the spelling wrong, you can replace the whole pump assembly for around 80 Canadian. This gives you all the parts you need. Depending on access the valve is located in the part of the toilet immediately before the hose connection to the tank.

In addition to John's comments, check to the right and rear of the toilet bowl by the floor. You may see the discharge hose there, If so you can unscrew the 3 screws on the sleeve that connects the hose parts. In between the parts, when separated you should find the joker valve. You should be able to simply lift it out for replacement. Google "boat joker valve" to get an idea of what they look like. Good luck.

At ten years old, you would benefit from flushing the lines with an appropriate solution like HCl and replacing the pump.
