Johnson Bilge Pumps

I like the design but do they have them with an automatic cycle?

Never mind they do have automatic with a non clog float switch.
These look like easy installs on the Outboard boats as nothing is in the way but I think it would be pretty hard to get the base installed on the inboard boats.

My 2016 C30 uses the cartridge based bilge pumps and sensor. They are great for the reason that you can replace the cartridge very easily... I think FM switched to the Rule auto cycle pumps in around 2018?

I have this type on my 21EC. It's a 750 GPH model. The original one with the boat failed in the first year. It came on and stayed on and melted the body due to a wrong sized fuse. It was replaced under warranty and still going after 7 years. Very simple to install and after the base is in place it's easy to twist and remove the cartridge to clean crap that may accumulate at the impeller. The sensor can be finicky and just needs a surface cleaning every now and again to keep it functioning properly. The same body will accept a 500 or a 1000GPH cartridge if I remember correctly.

I carry a spare cartridge rigged with longer wiring and clips to use as a spare should he pump fail. Swap the cartridge and clip to the battery as needed until I get back home for proper wiring.
