Good Morning TugNuts,

We are a month "out" or "away" from the 5th annual Bellingham C-Brat Gathering. We would love to have more Ranger Tugs show up especially since we are the proud owner of a Ranger Tug. One year we had 4 tugs at the dock. We have reserved 'P' Dock which is 570 feet long. You WILL NOT need to call for reservations.

Moorage is 75 cents a foot. The launch fee is $5.00 if you decide to trailer up to Squalicum Harbor. This $5.00 also includes five days of free parking. Extended parking requires a sign-in at the port office.

The gathering starts at 1pm on Friday July 16. There's 3 good restaurants nearby so we usually eat out on Friday night and later visit on the dock till late into the evening. Saturday is a good day to wander around Bellingham as the potluck at @5pm on P Dock is the only thing we've planned for that day. Another good time to visit with old friends and meet some new folks, too. Sunday morning is breakfast at the Bayside Cafe or on your boat---your choice.

Sometimes we have to raft up so bring a spare fender (or two). At 1pm on Sunday the dock belongs to the port again.

Boatless is okay, too. The entrance to P Dock is through Gate 9 just off of Roeder Avenue. PMail me for the gate code.

Thanks much,
Ruth and Joe

Hi there Ruth and Joe
I am thrilled that you are gathering in Bellingham! By that time, we will have our new Ranger Tug and would love nothing more than to join in and to meet others in our home marina. How many tugs do we have living here in Bellingham? Would like to meet up!

Oh, good! Hope that you can join us that weekend. Randy & Ida from Anacortes with their new Ranger 25 are supposed to be here for the B'Ham CBGT.

At the moment the only Ranger Tugs in B'Ham that I'm aware of is the 25 that is set up for charters and of course, Pete Cleland's 29. Three or so years ago we had a couple of burgundy 25s but I don't know where they went. So at the moment not a big crowd of tugnuts in this area but hopefully that will increase.

Congratulations on your new Ranger Tug. We're looking forward to seeing it.

I was so sad to hear about Pete. Was looking forward to knowing another Tugger right here in Bellingham. Have heard many amusing stories about him. Obvious that he really loved boating. See you at the CBGT!

Bringing this post up to the top as we're just a week or so away from our annual CBGT here in Bellingham. Jeff Messmer will do his best to try and be here sometime during that weekend. Hoping that if any of you are in the area that you will come by, too. If you're arriving by water please use the EAST entrance near the Bellwether Hotel. P Dock cannot be accessed by water through either the South or West entrances.

Charlie,

Thanks so much for the additional Happy Birthday wishes 😀 Also gotta thank my buddy Jim (WILD BLUE) for getting the Happy Birthday thread started over on the C-Brat site. His turn is just around the corner as we not only share the same birthday month but wedding anniversaries on the same date 🙂

Thanks again,
Ruthie

PS: One of these summers you and Sally will have to come to the left coast and attend some C-Brat and TugNut get-togethers. I'm thinking that the new 27 Ranger Tug would look really good at your dock 🙂
