Hi everyone,
After seven months of placing our order and waiting through the winter to take delivery of our R-27, “ILLUSIONS”, has finally happened on April 13th, a lucky date to take delivery, no? We spent two days on her going through and learning systems; talk about brain cramps! Hats off to Ranger and Peter Haywood at Winter Island Yachts in Salem, MA ; only three minor items that needed attention. We are looking forward to summer cruising in the Northeast and seeing other Tugnuts along the way!

Good Luck and congratulations!! We are about 30 days away from our delivery.

Good Luck Mike.
Hope to see you cruising on the Sound this summer.

Congrats! Where are you birthing her this summer? We are at the Wickford Marina. Kit and Ginny (TUGETHER)

I am sure we will see you. Right now We are leaving her on the trailer. We have a place in Charlestown, RI and have a launch at our boat club. We are waiting for a mooring or whatever pops up that may be convienient.

Well, I am experimenting with leaving the boat on the trailer this summer and just launching when we go out for the day... I am basically lazy and the idea of launching and retrieving is not my fondest wish... But I found last year that we did not use the boat enough times to justify a couple thousand dollars rental for the slip... I do plan on doing a bit of traveling with the boat this summer and decided to try this experiment... I will let the group know how it works out...

I did get a plaintive phone call from the marina when I did not register for my old slip by the cutoff date... I guess they are watching the bottom line very carefully in these recession times... One advantage to living in the rust belt is that I can, of course, get a slip at any time but I suspect that our premium slip is by now in the hands of a gleeful new renter...

In life, especially in boating, there is always a trade off. I had a 22 foot C-Dory before this one and although my launch and retrieval is limited with the R-27, I have to say this seems easier. We shall see what I have to say at the end of the season!

Congratulations - Let me know if you'd like to be added to the World of Ranger Tugs map.

cheers,

Bruce
