Maureen and I will be taking Karma out to either Blake Island or Blakely Harbor this weekend. We will depart Port Orchard Saturday morning cruising first to Blake. Once there we will decide whether we stay at Blake or move over to Blakely Harbor. We will decide once we see how crowded Blake is.

Anyone interested is welcome to join us!

Karma is on the dock at Blake Island if anyone should want to join us for the day or evening.

Beautiful Day!
Wish we were with you.........

It turned out to be an incredible day! As we were moored on the poles that run parallel to the breakwater, once the tide came in we had a great view of the city and the boats on the sound. We took the "Pico" chairs that we purchased at REI (thanks Bruce Moore) and set them up on the forward deck. What a great place to enjoy a sunny afternoon in Seattle! We enjoyed afternoon cocktails while watching boats come and go from the Blake Island Marina. We were also amazed at what we assumed had to be "crazy kids" jumping off of the roof of a small cruiser into the 53 degree water!

Karma and Moondance are both headed to Poulsbo on Wednesday afternoon (June 30th) for the 4th of July weekend. Anyone wishing to join us are more than welcome. While reservations are full for Poulsbo for this weekend, the remaining slips are first come first serve. If a slip is not available, you can anchor in Liberty Bay.

If you head in, send me an email at: davidbakermdbs@aol.com We will let you know if there are currently any slips available!

Poulsbo has one of the best fireworks displays of any small town in the region. Don't worry about getting on the dock, the best place to be is at anchor in Liberty bay. Find the barge and anchor about a quarter of a mile to the east of it. If you have never anchored out before, this is a good place to start. The bottom ranges from six to fifteen feet and has excellent holding. Low tide is about 4😛m and rises eight feet overnight. Make sure your anchor light is working. The local police boat is very anal about this. Also important to remember is that in Poulsbo July 4th comes on July 3rd.

Thanks for the information.
We will try to make it down forJuly 3rd and return on the fourth.
