Key West Marinas and anchorage suggestions.

Late May through mid June my wife dog and I will be visiting Key West and weather permitting, the Marquesas. I am looking for Marina, anchorage ideas as well as any must see/do items that I can look in to for our itinerary.

Any info would be appreciated.

Bob,

My wife Patty, our dog Chloe and I spent much of this winter in Key West. We recommend The Perry Hotel/Marina. It’s in Stock Island, about mile marker 4.5. 2 pools, 3 restaurants/ bars. A shuttle downtown . A resort feel. As far as anchorages, Boca Grande and Marquesas are very nice. The Anchorage at Boca Grande was preferred by us. Both have easy access to the beach for the pooch. The Marquesas have better choices for exploring if you have a dinghy or kayaks. Weatherwise, if the seas are a bit lumpy, you can go “inside”, through the lakes passage between Key West and Boca Grande.
