Juan Tug Go,
I purchased a 2016 27C in 2018 from the original owner. He had a 9.9 Yamaha rigged up for trolling. I use the boat in SE Alaska for fishing and shrimping but the first thing I did was remove the outboard and sell it. I’m not wild about trolling and prefer drifting and mouching. The outboard was stored/mounted on a bracket which is bolted to the transom flat top surface and hung over onto the swim platform. There was a stainless steel bracket mounted amidships on the rear top surface of the swim platform. This bracket allowed a mounting plate for the engine to be deployed from when the bracket was pinned in place.
I preferred to have a cleaner back deck with fewer obstacles to get lines tangled in. I never used the outboard.
Tight lines.

Thanks Bob. You wouldn’t happen to have an old picture. I’m thinking I may change my style of fishing. We got the boat to do more cruising than fishing anyhow.

I have an 9.9 Yamaha on my 2013 25' SC. Trolling for salmon should be about 2 knots +/-, I'm not sure how someone could troll of the main engine without modifications. I can send you photos if you like, might be of some use. My email is seanward73@hotmail.com
