Looking to put kicker motor on my R21 need to push boat about 2mph for fishing will a 2.5 do the job?
Or do I need to go with more hp

I just tested my Honda 2 on my R21 and in light wind I did 4.5 knots downwind and 2.5 knots into the wind. I am not sure which way the current was going. But the lightness of the motor and ease of taking it off for storage is a big benefit to me. imho it is fine for that boat.
