Kicker plate

Hello,

We have a 2019 R27. We want to add a kicker plate and I found this one and assume it's the factory kicker plate:

But.. $689?! What am I missing here?

Can anyone share close-ups of their kicker plate if they have this one? I'm trying to justify the price (if possible).

I think I would get the dimensions and cut out the right size. You'd have to mill a couple of dimples (drill) into it for the outboard clamps and drill installation holes. I might want to radius the corners to prevent dings in flesh and equipment. Amazon has some appropriate sized pieces (Just $22!): https://www.amazon.com/Wesiti-Plast...hvqmt=e&mcid=41d18cc574e5343ba560911515e2fd97 You might have to laminate two of these, or get a slightly thicker one. But milling the countersunk mounting holes and dimples for the outboard clamps is not a technical challenge.

For $700 you'd think the mounting hardware would be included. But regardless of price the no go for me is the California hazardous materials warning.

From searching google images for R27s with the kicker plate, it looks like it just bolts to the transom? No other hardware?
