Just a reminder. All of our fire extinguishers were affected by the recall. It's a very broad recall. You'll need three fields of info for each extinguisher, Model #, Serial #, and date code, as well as approximate date of purchase or acquisition. No receipt is needed.
The Kidde Fire Extinguisher Recall page starts the process. Once you have the info you need it only takes a few minutes to complete and submit the form (more or less depending on how many units you have to enter). You get an instant response on affected and unaffected units and a confirmation code if you have affected units. Replacements are shipped via FedEx, along with directions for disposing of or returning the recalled units. It's not clear which is the case.
