KVH Tracvision tv1 receiver

Hi everybody. I’ve got a 2016 R29. I’ve been looking for the location of the receiver. Someone mentioned underneath the port side heating fan. All I found in there was my fusion head unit and amp.

Unless you have an after market installation, there may well not be one. The factory installed the domes but not antennas or receivers. The domes typically contain a TV antenna.

Thank you. It looks like antena only goes to aft tv. Any ideas on why it’s not servicing bow tv? I do a search and no channels show up in bow, but lots in rear.

I'd check physical connections first. Is there an antenna feed to the TV? If so, check to make sure the TV has the correct source selected.

Yes it has an antenna into it. Source ‘tv’ just like the aft. When I scan it doesn’t pick anything up. Any ideas where the two antennas would be joined?

I'm not sure on the R29 but on the C 28 it is on the port side above a closet.
There should be an amplifier for it. Mine is a small white box with a green led light. The led only lights when the house power is switched on. If someone who has/ knows where the amplifier box is located on the R29 you can make sure both TV cables are attached to it. The box is approximately 3" x 2".
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful on the location of said box but I thought I at would least tell you what to look for.
I had a similar problem with my boat as the previous owner damaged the TV cable at the attachment to the box. Search and search but no channels even in downtown Tampa. I knew something was wrong!

I followed the antenna line into the compartment above the clothes hanger and underneath the fan. There’s no cable connection there and the antenna cable goes up the wall into the roof somewhere. I guess I’ll have to start pulling panels apart to find out where they connect.
