ladder rack cleat dual usage

After fitting out our Ranger this spring I noticed a small problem with not having a fender cleat mid ship. Looking at the ladder rack attachment cleat I figured out another usage for those cleats. Parts were easy to get and after a short trip to West Marine and a few minutes in the garage I had the solution. Only 2 parts required however I added a third which was a split washer slightly smaller than the clevis pin which had to be driven onto the clevis. When you look at the photo album you can see washer on the clevis, because it was driven on it does not move and makes for a nice snug fit when attaching to the ladder clevis. Photos in our album. Sorry but I can’t get enough detail in your album photo pic to understand what you have done with the latter attachment. From your writing I get that it’s a dual purpose fender cleat and ladder mount bracket. Any chance you can add a photo of just the new parts themselves?
