I do a lot of sailboat Race Committee and anchor a lot, and run the flag starts from the bow of my RT 27. The trip along the side of the boat from the Cockpit to Bow is not always safe. So I had a Cabinet Maker friend design and install a ladder. We move the center cushions and the ladder is attached at the top just forward of the hatch and we installed a cleat at the bottom to prevent sliding back. The Ladder is hinged and by releasing the 4 clips ( 2 at top, and 2 in the center) can be folded and stores under the center of the V Berth. Nice when need to pull anchor and pull the chain away from the short howse pipe, and back to steer the boat. Sorry can't figure out how to post photos, but a PM request, and I'll send you direct.
