While at the Rendezvous in Bremerton, Maureen and I had the opportunity to ride Tim and Kim's folding bikes. While we had often viewed these from afar and could not imagine how they could possibly be good, we were quite surprised after test riding Tim and Kim's. The bikes rode and handled very well. They folded into a small enough package that two of them could easily be stored in the "basement" when not in use. They are made of alloy therefore will take a beating in the salt water environment they would be used in.
We were sold! The bikes we chose are built by Giant. We located a bike store within two blocks of Karma's new home and made the purchase. This past weekend we stayed at the dock as simply spent the weekend exploring the Ballard area on our new "dinghy's". Not only did we explore Ballard, we quickly made a trip over to Fisheries Supply on our "dinghy's", a trip of eight miles RT.
If you are considering bikes for your tug, I would certainly give these a try!
