I understand that the factory has a roof-top dinghy launching system. If this is correct, can factory offer some information on it along with pricing options and for what Ranger models it applies to? Thanks. 🙂

I thought I would let you know about the "Pacer Lift". It was first going to be used on our R-25 when we had the Nellie. When we purchased the Nellie Too (R-29) the design was modified to fit. I think the unit can be produced for either the R-25 or the R-29 in fact I think that is the plan. I am really not involved it the manufacturer or sales of the unit, I was given the prototype in exchange for the idea. We are impressed with the unit but ours is 110V as Dave told you so we have to run an extension form the cabin to use it. I am assuming that the 12V model will have a wiring kit to attach to the breaker box or the batteries and a means to route the wiring but you have to talk to Jeff to confirm this. At present I believe the unit is capable of lifting 200lb but they were working to increase the capacity.
The unit is built on a track so that it can service either side of the boat and the sports bars are still very usable.
I hope this information is helpful to you.

Ranger Tugs has been in works with the company who makes Pacer Lift. We have become exclusive on this roof top launching system but it is not ready quite yet. As soon as this is tested and we decide 100% we are ready to introduce, we will have a video or some sort of introduction for this. I believe pricing is going to be around $2,999.00 not installed. Should be pretty easy to retro fit to already built boats.

Hi Andrew,

Any updates on this?
Would like to know before plopping some cash for "Trac Vision" 🙂

Capt. Chris,

At the PNW Rendezvous this past weekend, a R29 had this system on their boat. So, it is out there. This is a stout system and is probably not appropriate for a Ranger 25 or a 27 but that is a call for Dave and John Livingston who designed these boats.

The lift was originally designed for the R-25 then Nita and I bought the R-29 so it was modified. The unit is still available for the R-25 and the price is less than quoted by Andrew back in March. I confirmed this with Jeff in Bremerton.

I forgot to mention the lift is certified for 400 lbs.

I owe you all an appology. I talked to the manufacter of the Pacer Lift and he told me the lift is certified for 200 lbs. Someone else told me 400 lbs which is incorrect.

Not sure quite what you mean but there are some pictures HERE for a lift on a CD22 that someone was considering for a 27 Tug.

You can look at my albumn, Shared Dream. There are pictures of the 12V Pacer Lift that has been on my boat since I took delivery (about 1.5 yrs ago). The lift works great, can be handled by one person. The combined weight of my Zodiac and outboard is 140lbs, well within the 200lb limit.
Best Regards
Ken

Can anyone please post details or a link regarding the 12v Pacer Lift please

I wanted a very light and solid appendix, adapted to the width of my R25SC.
There is a formidable mark for that (but is it sale in the USA?)
you will find this mark in Google: 3D Tender and the ideal model is the TWIN air which is 6,5 feet and weighs 26 pounds !!
The price is little more expansive than others but it is very strong material.(you can transport 3 persons!!!)
So I can put or I want my appendix so light and to put it in the water without efforts.
And I assure you that it is a great material.
Goodbye on the site.
