Does anyone know what this is? Mat, unidirectional and so on? Resin type? Vac bagging?

I ask as a brand new Targa 27.2 berthed a few slips down - OMG! What a ride - it weighs as much as a classic 27 - but when I tap my knuckles on the hull sides it feels like solid steel - when back to mine and tapped …. Not so much - more drum like. It has to be thinner - has me thinking about pounding -

Targas are TANKS and highly utilitarian finnish built boats. Can't speak to what RT does for their fiberglass process, but I know that a Targa 46 flybridge is certainly on my "big boat" list when i'm ready.
