Leaky AC Pump - Need Help

We are about 300 miles from home and our AC pump started dripping. I tightened down the wing nuts a little and the drip increased. When I tightened them down a bit more, I noticed the little studs that the wing nuts fassend to are pulling out.
I took about the motor and found that, in fact, the casing is plastic and not able to hold on to the little bit of stud that it catches.

Any one experience this? Any good solutions? Any help?

I have an 2017 R31 with genset and two ACs that operate from the pump.

We have an R29S so I’m not sure our pump is the same, however I had the same leak. The part in question on our boat is a white plastic fitting that when I took apart was bent/ distorted from tightening the hose clamp too tightly. I replaced the fitting with a more substantial fitting and when complete I wrapped the fitting with some stretch n seal self fusing silicone tape (made to seal minor leaks), it has not leaked since.

This leak is coming from the housing itself, which is held together with 4 studs and 4 wing nuts on the studs. Unfortunately, the studs screw into the plastic housing and I think 3 of them are stripped. The short stud doesn't grab much. Doesn't seem like they can get much of a bite in the plastic housing. Maybe longer screws to replace the studs?

Hey Bobby,

Have you contacted your dealer on this issue? The pump itself has a warranty so if there is a problem with the housing I would look into having the pump replaced under warranty rather then try and fix it with longer screws. Reach out to me via email if you need help on this.
