Hi. My shower head has a low but steady drip leak when the water pump is on. It stops if I hold the shower valve lever in the off position so I assume the cause is the valve not closing all the way. My local dealer said a complete shower replacement is likely required, which is apparently quite a task. I was just wondering if installing a simple shut off valve in the hose that runs from the valve to the shower head was feasible, or if that would create some sort of pressure buildup that would be problematic.

Thanks
Nico

Let me know. My 31CB leaks, took head off and put a cap on hose.

On my 2018 C24 while taking a shower you have to reach around the shower curtain to turn the water on and off to shower. I put a black hardware store valve at the shower head to turn the water on and off. Works well and doesn’t get the bed and everything wet.

Hi Nico,

Sorry to hear that you are having this issue, but your idea of putting a shutoff valve in the hose is a good alternative for the time being. Looks like KKRCRACE has done something similar. As long as the valve holds pressure, you should not have any issues. It would simply be doing the same thing as the mixing valve, so will not have any adverse effects on the system. Hope this helps.
