I purchased my Cutwater 2019 C30CB (HIN US-FMLC3010F819) with 100 hours on the engine and the stern thruster has never worked. The blue Lewmar control box (with no AUX harness plugged in) in the cockpit by the battery switches, just clicks when attempting to use the stern thruster on both the remote and joystick. After having to recently replace a bow thruster sheer pin I determined my bow thruster is a Lewmar GEN1 and stern is a Lewmar GEN2 thruster. Was this done at the factory? The interwebs tells me I need plug in a Lewmar Legacy Thruster Converter (Part #589842), but i think that is for upgrading the controller to legacy units, where as I want to do the reverse, i want my stern GEN2 to work with my factory installed old legacy controllers, but want to check with you guys here first to get a better understanding what is going on and that I don’t already have one and possibly there is a easy fix.
Ok I just figured out I think I have GEN2 joysticks. Therefore my bow thruster must have the controller, and possibly the wiring was switched?
