Is the factory installed WINDLESS a PRO SERIES 700, or a PRO SERIES 1000 ?

Has a up / down toggle switch mounted on the starboard bow " toe rail ".

I wish to install a second switch at the helm station.

Has anyone done this, and if so, a wiring diagram would be appreciated.

Mine (R25 2007 hull # 23) was the 700 if I remember correctly. And when I asked to add a second switch, I was told it would be expensive (needed a relay?)

Eventually I decided the switch at the helm probably wasn't worth it. You pretty much have to go to the bow to release the anchor anyway (don't rely on the windlass to hold the anchor up - it has been known to let go at the most inopportune time, and to read the markings on the anchor rode so you know how much line you let out), and you go to the bow again when you retrieve to remove the rode from the cleat and to move the "pyramids" of rode in the locker out of the way to fit the entire rode in the chain locker and not jam the windlass

I know nothing but was wondering instead of a relay what about a switch to choose 1 switch or the other ? You would only be able to use one at a time and would need to switch between the two but seems that would make it easy .

Our R-27 has a windlass switch at the helm station, with a relay mounted in the helm wiring closet. We can operate windlass from either bow or helm without having to choose which station to operate from.

We did have to replace the stock Lewmar relay on the right with a larger one on the left after original blew. The breaker is 70 amps, and wired into the thruster battery switch.

Also learned the hard way that the bow is the best place to operate from, after the chain jammed up the windlass on retrieve. The helm switch is convenient, but I try and use more mindfully now.
