When ordering my new boat, I opted in to the Lithium-Ion package. By reading through the spec sheets and descriptions, I had learned that the package would consist of six 100 AH house batteries for the total nominal capacity of 600 AH.
However, my 2024 Ranger Tugs R-25 arrived with two x 280 AH batteries instead, for the total capacity of 560 AH. I was not made aware by the dealer that such substitute would be made. Can someone please advise if the 40 AH reduction of the total battery capacity was justified or is it still a downgrade? I can see the obvious benefit of the total size and weight reduction (~61 lb) of the two 280 AH batteries compared to six 100 AH ones. But are there any other benefits? Thank you!
