We need the rail specs for a lift for our new 2017 Cutwater 242 Coupe outboard.
We were told by the boat dealer to use the trailer rails
As a guide, but the trailer rails are in 3 groups of 2 in different widths.
So I don't know how to proceed with instructions to the lift installers.
Thanks.
And still hoping to get that Owners Manual soon!

Unfortunately we have never placed boats on lifts and would rely on the lift guys to go and measure to make sure it will cradle the boat properly. This is the same way EZ loader does it for the trailers when they are spec'ing them out for us. The guides off the trailer is definitely the best way but I would simply use the main bunks and not the forward target bunks.

Thank you,

regarding the specing the lift rails:
can you give me lift point information for the Cutwater C-242Coupe with the 300 HP Yamaha outboard?

Also if the owner's manual is not yet available, I'd like even a marked-up version of the Cutwater 26/28 Owners Manual
where the differences are pointed out for now. It would be a big help.

Thanks

I’m not exactly sure what you are looking for. If you copy that way the trailer is setup in regards to bunk spacing, that should be perfectly fine. We have an owners manual that is close to being released. We will post on here when it’s available.

Thank you,

sorry if I'm not clear. I may not be "hip with all the lingo" ;-)

Our Monterey 320 Sport yacht had marked what was referred to as "lift points".
Our boat lift is a 4 Point boat lift that uses "bunks" not slings.

Typically the lift points indicate where the slings would go for proper balanced lifting of said boat.
And those same lift point indicators are not only instrumental in proper lift bunk positioning, but
are used for 4 point boat lifts using bunks for the PVC poles that the boat captain uses to know how far into the
lift he/she needs to bring the boat to before bringing the boat up out of the water.
I was informed by our lift company that is information is specific to each boat and that I
should get that information from Cutwater.

And since our beautiful Cutwater C-242 Coupe has a "completely new double stepped-hull" I think it
may need special consideration from our lift contractor.
Just wanting to be safe...
Thanks!
