We went to turn the light on in the head and nothing. Knocked on the lens of the LED light and it flickered. Tried again a few minutes later and it worked fine. It’s now working intermittently. At first I thought it might be the switch but now it seems to be perhaps a loose wire or the bulb. Before I start prying away on the lens cap and possibly breaking something does anyone know how to remove to access the bulb?

I had the same problem, backa few weeks ago, and it turned out to be the switch. Once it was cleaned and lubricated with a little WD 40, it worked fine. If your overhead light is the same as mine, it's a sealed, led bulb, one piece unit. To remove it, put a very thin blade along the edge , (I used my finger nails), and pull it down. It should pop out of the opening.
I would start with the switch as my light acted just like yours, when tapped on it would flicker, but when removed and tested, it worked well.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Capt T. I will give it a shot.

Hey there,

Terry is right. The issue is most likely with the switch. The contacts can get a little funky over time but an electrical contact cleaner will usually resolve this. And as Terry found out, WD40 will work in a pinch. 😉

Cheers,

Ralf
