IT’S FEBRUARY!!!,

To commemorate this fabulous February, we were having another photo contest! Our theme this month is “Lighthouses & Landmarks.” What cool lighthouses have you seen on your adventures? Do you have any pictures of a breathtaking landmark you saw while cruising? Submit your favorite photo of a lighthouse or any cool landmark you’ve come across on the water!

To enter the contest, reply to this post with your photo, boat model, and a description about what's going on to accompany it. One photo/entry per user. The Photo Contest will be open until 8:00 AM PST on 2/24/25. After all the submissions have been collected, factory personnel will vote on the winner.

One winner for each brand will be selected (Ranger Tugs, Cutwater, or Solara) and will win a pair of branded jackets and get their winning photo proudly displayed on he Tugnuts homepage and Fluid Motion social media accounts!

Please Note:
This thread is for contest submissions only; replies which do not submit a picture for the contest will be moderated and promptly deleted. Once voting has started, you are not allowed to edit your entry.

Today passed the Kelly Point light, a Mid-Channel marker, where the Willamette River from the right joins the Columbia River at Portland Oregon.

Passing Mile Light on starboard by the Cliff House...this is a treacherous crossing of the SF Bar when the wind blows or the currents are strong, but, essential to enter the Golden Gate...I make the journey at slack tides.63286742930__0CDEAEB3-3816-464A-B96B-8C3F043FA44F.jpeg

Rich and Nancy Birkemeier on AVELLANA, 2019 29CB. On our way back from Canada we passed the Turn Point Light House and had a small pod of Orcas cruising past.

Heading out under the Golden Gate Bridge to go fishing on our 2016 C30CB, "Biscali". Directly astern are Alcatraz and Angel Islands with downtown San Francisco on the right. On the left side of the photo at water level is the Lime Point historic lighthouse. We have been pleasantly surprised at the multitude of cruising opportunities in San Francisco Bay.PXL_20240902_175636767.MP.jpg

Perhaps not a lighthouse in the traditional sense, but we passed by this beacon of Liberty on our way up the Hudson late last summer. Only took us 10 months to get there from our home in Minnesota!

Little Patos Lighthouse, September 2024. We boated to Patos Island during our Pacific NW trip with our Cutwater. We enjoyed a day there after anchoring in the narrow inlet. There was only one mooring ball and it was already taken when we arrived in the morning but the anchorage was ok with the conditions.
