Ladybug, Too was damaged by lightning that hit our house and got to the boat through the shore power. Damage was over $23,000 with some issues showing up much later. I posted quite a bit about it because it took almost a full year to get everything back to normal. Take nothing for granted as I lost the VHF, the GPS module in the Garmin 5215, Thruster Controller and bow interface module, Engine CPU, wiring harness, Display module and interface, Throttle position sensor, rail pressure, fuel volume and crankshaft sensors, DVR, both A/C unit control boards, CO Monitors, generator control board, deck lights and a few things I can't even remember. My R-29 is a 2009 model that was set up for a boat show so lots of stuff I probably would not have chosen. It has fully recovered and I absolutely love the way she performs now. Several cruises have proven her to be a real joy. From taking on severe weather (we got caught in the middle of Choctawhatchee Bay near Destin, FL) to great cruising speed I cannot ask for more. I love the pilot house door.
Get her fixed and enjoy!
Pat, Ladybug, Too
