Raising an old issue. I don't know if this applies to R 25's later in the series, but mine (#52) has a decided list to port.
When i raised this after purchase last year i was told it would balance out after loading...didn't happen. The genset is located on the port side, and i suspect that is the problem. The list does not effect performance; it's just annoying.

Tom, you need to eat more and stay on the stbd side! 😀

Charlie,
Trust me...eating more Eastern Shore food would not only correct the list, but make the boat turn turtle!

I gues i'll load her up with bottles of water and canned goods...

I think th esubject has been discussed before maybe on C-Brats site. The R25 can list to port. Mine is hull #67 and it always lists to port except when underway above 6-7 knots usint trim tabs. The genset is not only considration. The AC system and the extra battery associated with thrusters is also on port side. I suspect that the original design concept may have been more level without those additions. However, the boat design can handle a significant amount of storage and it allows you to store heaver items on the starboard side. I put an extra anchor & rode in starboard locker, bottled water in starboard storage lockers and under cabin berth on startboard side. Put the lighter yet bulky items in the 2nd stateroom since that is on port side. Have the heaviest person sit at helm. For most part I have learned to ignore the way LENABELL sits at the slip. Every so often someone will comment about it.

I'm glad that my bride weighs less than I do. "Dear, would you mind steering, we're listing to port...."

Henry, don't mean to quibble, but if she weighs less than you do and steers after you determine your tug is listing to port, your list will get worse.... Unless you have left hand drive... :? Or if that was her "talking"....

I don't talk about weight with my bride, and she doesn't talk about hair with me...

What i love bout this site , like the C brats, is that you get good advice, a bit of "slapping on the wrist" and great humor all in about three responses...nuff said onthis topic.

The list to port is due to the Generator and Airconditioners added. I had a customer trade in $300 cash for all pennies and stuff them in the starboard compartments. His idea behind this was you will not lose any money and it costs money to purchase some lead for the extra weight he needed to add. Good idea? 😀

I am planning to add 70 lbs of lead wt to the starboard side to offset the batts/ air cond aqnd the kicker for the dinghy. I am planning on removing the flooring for the dry storage and 5200ing them to the hull.

Here is what i am doing to at least partially correct the list..(which is really not that bothersome, but just sometimes annoying in a visual way)
I have my spring water jugs, plastic, in the starboard storage compartment, pretty well wedged in. We use a lot of water for cooking and drinking, and don't use the water from the water tank for those things. Seems to have significantly helped the list.

I toyed with the idea of moving the two house batteries over to the starboard locker and running heavy duty cables back to the port side buss bars. But, this project is low on my priority list so I'm learning to live with the list..
