I’ve looked at them as well as it seems a great alternative to maintain power, especially in combination with upgraded solar on the boat.

We get about two days at anchor in our R27 before we start to bump against 50% remaining without strong solar contribution. Add improved solar and we probably get 3 days. Add a 100AH batt pack and a decent portable solar for it, recharge the boats usable 100AH every three days via a shore power connector and recharge the battery bank for the next three days via solar, boom - endless power!

Seems that these things are game changers and awesome ways for us without lithium on the boat to bring lithium into the boat!!!

I’m tempted to buy an Amazon deal too now but the need for more power won’t come until spring, and they might be even cheaper then.

I bought a Bluetti earlier this year. It's an AC180 that I use when working on the boat on the hard. In my boatyard I can't always get access to an electrical outlet. Works well, and I use it for the boat too. Just use an adapter to plug it into shore power outlet.

I would check to see that any power station has Lithium Iron phosphate batteries. Not all of them do.

The newer Bluetti models are water resistant, nice plus for a boat. Ecoflow may have the same thing.

There are a bunch on sale on prime day. Ive seen Anker (great brand) jackery, and eco flow on sale for like 50% off over the last 24 hours

I drank the kool aid and ordered the Anker C1000 from Amazon. Primary use will be to power our portable freezer when moving it back and forth between home in Ashland, OR and our launch point at Bellingham WA. At 88 AmpHrs it should power the freezer for a 1.5 days.
To match the extra 88 AmpHrs I would have needed to buy the equivalent of 1.6 deep cycle group 31 house batteries. And at only 27 pounds it more sense than expanding my house bank.

I have it in my head that one can plug into one of these power stations via shore power (even if it’s 15A) and recharge the house bank effortlessly overnight and then put a solar panel on the power station and recharge it during the day, or if you’re on the move, plug into the boat and recharge off the alternator.

Is it that easy or are there more things to think about?
