I'm planning to replace the four seal clamps this weekend (one at a time since the boat's in the water), and I'd like to avoid a 2nd trip to the marine store. I think the 2.5"-3.5" clamps are the right size, but can someone confirm? It's for 2012 R29. Thanks!

What is "Log seal hose" ? Is it the hose attached aft of the stuffing box ?

Just an idea... For clamp size use a piece of string to surround the existing clamps and add an inch or two for the strings length to obtain clamp size.

Yep, my survey docs refer to it as the "shaft log". The boat is 30 minutes away in the opposite direction of the marine shop, so I was hoping someone would have a reference handy. If not, I'll need to go measure it.

In case anyone else stumbles on this, the clamps are 2"-3" SAE 40.

I'm working my way through a full service on our new-to-us R29 and recording information in a Google Doc at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YlJ ... Vy4EiHzbU/. Changed the fuel filters, dropped the gearbox oil, replaced aft bilge pump and switch, and recharged the air filter yesterday. Struggled to get the oil strainer cover off given the light corrosion in that area and need to source a new cover gasket tomorrow morning. Headed back to the boat today to troubleshoot non-working stateroom/cockpit speaker (hoping it's just amp fuses or easily accessible corroded wiring). Overall, maintenance has been relatively easy so far.
