A short report on my long cruise this summer:
My R-31, Spinner, ran perfectly! After departing Seattle on July 11, ports visited included:
Anacortes (Cap Sante Marina)
Ganges, Saltspring Island, BC
Nanaimo
Pender Habor
Cortes Bay (Cortes Island)
Shoal Bay
Blind Channel
Lagoon Cove
Kwatsi Bay
Sullivan Bay (N Broughton Island)
Port McNeil (Vancouver Island)
Refuge Cove (chased by gale winds, 100+ nm day!)
Preideux Haven ( 5 days)
Egmont
Princess Louisa Inlet (4 days)
Pender Harbor
Nanaimo
Wallace Island
Cowichan Bay
Butchart Cove
Sidney Spit Marine Park
Victoria (3 nights)
Anacortes
Home to Elliot Bay Marina on August 19
My time on the hook and otherwise without shore power was great, no power issues once I turned off the wine cooler. My solar panel was able to keep the house bank well charged, including overnight. I was still running the Engle freezer and both refridgerators!
All in all, a wonderful trip! I had company on my trip, thanks Carol S for great performance as the swab, ha ha! Everywhere I went people came up and commented on how much they loved my boat and Ranger Tugs. But even better was having such a comfortable, RELIABLE boat! Thanks Ranger Tugs/Fluid Motion!
Next year, Alaska, if I can find a cruising buddy or two....
