We would like to trailer Our Journey up to Portland for the Spring. We are thinking of having the boat in a marina for about two months starting mid-April. We would want to stay on the boat several times during that period. Possibly doing the same thing in the Fall for a month or two after the PNW Rendezvous.

After checking out several marinas on Hayden Island we are still looking. Expect a slip to offer shore power and fresh water and allow us to stay on board the boat for 3-5 days in a row during this time.

I see several marinas between Scappoose and Portland on the Multnomah Channel.

Does anyone have experience or feedback about a good marina in this area?

You hit the nail on the head by thinking of Multnomah Channel. Lenny and Louise are moored there and they stay on their boat at times. There is always Coon Island and St Helens nearby to hang out for short cruises. I believe the marina is Rocky Point. You can pm Lenny and Louise (Then Again) to get their exact marina and the costs, etc. They are very happy with it. It is good to hear that you will be in our neck of the woods. Let us know when and we will plan on getting together. Coon Island is one of our favorite hangouts and on down to Cathlamet and then keep on going to Astoria.
Glad you are planning on making the rendezvous.

Thanks Dave and Bette! I think I've narrowed my search down to Rocky Point and Big Oak marinas. Sent Lenny and Louise a PM asking for feedback on Rocky Point. Looking forward to getting Our Journey up your way in early April!

Try Salpare Marina on Hayden Island, ask for Jeff or Andrew. We've stayed twice and are heading back again. Great docks, parking (not for trailer) and the rates a good.

Vicky and Al,

We are very happy at Rocky Point, and there were two or three other Rangers there last year. The associated yard did some fine work for us last year as well. We will send you some more details later today.
