Thanks Martin.Since you say this screen shot was underway, with the engine outputting 14.4 volts and your battery monitor seeing 12.91 volts, that says to me that when this screenshot was taken, the engine and house batteries were not connected (i.e. the ACR's were open).
One more question please;
On a run to Friday Harbor after 4hrs of run time at between 2900-3000 rpm’s.
Per our Smart Shunt (IP65 500A/50mV)
Battery voltage dropped to
12.68V with the current showing:
-13.13 amps.
30 minutes later the battery showed:
12.77V and the current draw dropped to -5.41amps.
Is the improvement indicative of the ACR connecting ie. Closing?
My concern has been the negative number showing on the current amp readout while underway, if the Engine/House ACR is connected should the current amp move back to a positive number also?
When on shore power we always see the current amps as a positive and I expect to see that with the alternator doing it’s
Oh and thanks for the recommendations on using the Smart Battery Sense on the thrusters, that will be helpful.
