It is a bit early, but I like to have my plans in place earlier rather than scramble near the end. I am looking for a spot to store my truck and trailer for about 3 weeks in either Savannah, GA or Vero beach, FL. starting around October 2nd. Anyone with information on storage in those areas please let me know.

Thanks!

Mike:

Try Red Gate RV Park and Campground. We stayed there a couple of months ago while visiting Savannah, very nice people and a nice place close to downtown. I'd bet that they'd welcome you to store Illusions. If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call.

I don't know about a place to park (so you don't need to read any further if pressed for time), but since you "like to have plans in place earlier rather than scramble near the end", I couldn't resist giving you the results of my informal survey of "shrimp & grits" on our R27 Loop; the winner was actually the "Boar's Head Grill and Tavern" in Savannah . . . you should check it out!

It's a little south of Savannah, but Jekyll Island State Park marina has an outside storage area for trucks/trailers, and we kept ours there last year for a week no problem.

Good luck!

Mike , check with Tim at Float On . They have some space in Vero Bch.
I also just delivered a boat to Savannah , kept my truck ,transport trailer and trade in at Savannah Bend Marina in Thunderbolt . Nice folks there as well .

You might try Harbortown Marina on Merritt Island, Florida. Not far North up the Indian River from Vero. A direct 38 mile shot to Orlando Airport to jump in and out at a reasonable cost. They are nice to work with and have tons of room for parking. Not sure they do that type of thing you want but worth a try. It would be a very safe place to store truck and trailer. It is a full service marina.< http://www.harbortownmarina.com > Very easy run to west a couple of miles to the Inland Waterway on Indian River or a couple miles to the ocean east at Port Canaveral. They lift my tug off off my trailer to save putting the trailer in salt water. I then do a few mile trip to my dock.

Hi Mike, Try American Custom Yachts in Stuart, this is the large marina right before the St. Lucie locks, they've helped other Tug owners before. Ph 772-221-9100. Hope to see ya when you come down.

Tim
