Just thought I'd mention that it would be nice to have an additional forum here where folks can buy/sell more than just Ranger Tugs.

I, personally, am looking for a good used 5 hp outboard (actually a 4-6 hp would be fine) with long shaft that I can use as a kicker motor for the Red Ranger, which is a R-21 EC. I will also use the kicker on my 13-foot pontoon boat, which will be the dingy for the Red Ranger. Ideally, it would have a built-in fuel tank plus use an external fuel tank.

Since we don't have such a forum, if somebody has an outboard they think might meet my needs, I'd appreciate hearing from them via private message.

Thanks,

A four horse Yamaha, two stroke, short shaft, internal tank, runs good, used in fresh water only. $300.00

A eight horse Suzuki, short shaft, two stroke with oil injection, external fuel tank, used in fresh water only, runs needs a new impeller, $400.00.

A five month old bimini for an R-29. Stainless Steel Frame, Black Sunbrella, installed on your boat within 20 miles of the Kent Plant, $1,750.

A 1989 West Marine 9 foot inflatable. Wood floor, fair condition. Always stored indoors out of the sun. $200.00.

A 3200 square foot house in Vegas..... opp's not yet on this one......

The C-Brats have a Boating Accessories forum for just such things. Good idea to have one over here too. You need to widen your search though, too narrow just to look on the Tug-Nuts alone. Try craigslist and e-bay too.

Good Hunting.

Thanks, guys. I am searching for a long shaft 4-6 hp and am regularly trolling craigslist. They're beginning to show up the closer we get to the official opening of fishing/boating season.

Cheers,

FS: SeaDog bracket # 371510. Was on my boat for a couple days. $60

I changed it out for a more expensive spring loaded mount.

Looking to buy a good used trailer for a Ranger 25.

I have two Klepper kayaks (a single and double) that I posted today on craigslist. These are collapsible kayaks that are stowed in bags until you're ready to use them. Or, assemble them and put them on the overhead sport rack.

I will discount the craigslist prices ($1,700 for both; or $1,200 for double, $1,000 for single) for tugnuters. If interested, send a note via PM.

Here's the link to the craigslist ad, which includes a picture: http://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/boa/1687569952.html

Karma is currently in La Conner having her new hard top installed. We are looking to sell the bimini that we had made for her at a very reasonable price, $1,200.00 installed on your boat (within 20 miles of the Kent Plant), or $1,000.00 you install.

Karma --

Please post photos of your hard top once installed...I am anxious to see how it looks and what you think!

Am brand new to this forum. We live on Lake Michigan and have a 2007 Chaparral 256 ssi. At some point during next 5 years, we will be upgrading to a larger boat and finally have the time for more extended cruising. One of our daughters is probably putting down permanent roots in the Pacific Northwest, so the idea of a trailerable tug is very appealing. We also lived in south Florda and have friends there as well. The Admiral likes the R-29, but I wonder if it will be too cramped, and how will it handle the Pacific Ocean. I also love the viewing position of a fly bridge. Any chance we will see a fly bridge version of an R-29 or something larger. (larger would obviously make trailering much more difficult and rare.)

I'm happy to report that I traded my two sea kayaks for a good 5 hp outboard with long shaft. So I was able to unload two things I haven't used in years for something I expect to use lots moving forward.

Here's my new kicker motor:
