Yesterday on a 50 NM transit, we experienced a problem with the Ultraflex steering on our 2017 R29 Sedan. Circumstances, including 15 NM of travel and choppy Chesapeake Bay conditions, required us to continue on.
I quickly found a remedy by using the auto-pilot heading hold feature and using it to change course as needed. The auto-pilot is a direct connect to the rudder so it was not affected by the steering problem. Four hours later, we were safely moored.
Hopefully you will never lose steering but.....
