I think the macerator on my 2013 R29 needs replacing because it is tripping the breaker and making a lot of noise.
The question is how to access it behind the forward wall of the "coffin" berth? I know there is a small access panel attached with Velcro to reach the shut off valve but that only allows a look at the pump. The back panel doesn't look as if it can be removed but I might be wrong. There is a smaller panel on the right that meets the back panel and it looks like it has a couple of screws with plastic caps suggesting that panel might be removed easily. If that is true, does it provide enough access to get at the macerator and wrestle with the hoses to get it out?
Any advice with this will be appreciated.

You have to remove two panels. First remove the panel that is at a diagonal (two screws). Then remove the forward panel (with the velcro access panel). There will be 4 screws on angle brackets... 2 at the top and two that are screwed into the wood floor. Make sure you remove any tip ties that may be screwed into the forward panel that are securing any hoses. It will be easier if you pull back the foam mattress.

Thanks for that info Bob.
Looks like I don’t have an excuse now not to try to fight with the pump!

One of the first things I did after buying my 2011 in 2018 was replace the macerator because it was tripping the breaker.

Update: the problem turned out to be lots of hair and other "stuff" wrapped around the metal "blades" that perform the maceration that seized the shaft. The rubber impeller was fine. So I cleaned it, reassembled and reinstalled it. Seems to work fine. Who put hair in the toilet is the question now?
