I noticed last night watching a DVD on our TV for the first time that the sound seemed a little on the light side. (Not Loud enough) I wondered if anyone has tried to improve the sound quality on their TV? I wondered about a small sound bar or better speakers. Has anyone upgraded the TV /DVD players sound output? Can you get the TV sound to play through the stereo?

There are inputs on the stereo for inputs. If you pull it out you cans see the RCA style inputs coming out of the back of the radio unit. Like most things on the boat, getting the wires there is another matter.
 
On our 29, I opened the side wall on the cabinet behind the helm, plugged RCA cables into the aux input on the stereo, connected to a Y,ran a single cable through a small drilled hole to the right of the helm under the dashboard cover. The cable follows up the right side of the starboard helm window frame, then through the overhead compartment to the TV in aux port. works great. Must remember to turn off cockpit speakers when watching late movies......
 
I simply use a rechargeable battery type Bluetooth remote speaker (TDK A33) for $75. The connection is from the Majestic's earphone plug in to the same type connection on the speaker. Plenty of clear, loud volume, even with the generator running. No holes to drill.
 
In general we've been impressed with the quality of our boat and attention to detail, although I must say I was surprised to find the TV audio was not connected to the AUX input on the stereo. If I had known that was the case I would have requested the connection be made when we saw the boat being built in the factory. Now it's a more difficult connection to make. The factory should do this standard with the entertainment package. Just my two cents...
 
Thanks to everyone for the information. Will try to get some wiring from the stereo to the TV. Seems crazy that you can control the stereo from the Garmin. This no big thing for me. I'm amazed at the attention to detail and the thoughtfulness of the people at Ranger Tug. Thank You.

I purchased a Bluetooth transmitter with the hope of reaching the stereo wirelessly. Unfortunately I was never able to successfully pair the transmitter to the stereo. The transmitter company sent me a second unit in case the first was defective but still no success. If the delay is tolerable that should work- in theory
 
I bought a RCA cable with red and white plugs that has a regular ear phone plug a the other end as suggested. I folded down the stereos front panel and pulled the four screws and plugged in the red and white into the aux input. I put the stereo back in place. I coiled the extra wire up in a neat bundle tie wrapped and left enough to reach the back of the TV. I plugged the stereo plug end into the TV and turned the stereo to aux and wa la decent sound. I'm not going to worry about routing it permanently. I'll just leave it in the glove compartment and only plug it in when watching the TV or a DVD. Thanks for all the responses. It's so much better now. All for about 10 dollars. Thanks again.

I bought the Bluetooth transmitter and the Bluetooth receiver for the stereo unit. Each was about $30. Works flawlessly. Need to turn the sound down to zero on the TV as there is a slight lag in the Bluetooth, but nothing noticeable as far as synching to the screen.
 
Which Bluetooth transmitter did you purchase? Do you have the Fusion BT module for the receiving end or did you purchase something else? I have not been successful in pairing the cheap transmitter I purchased with the Fusion BT100 module

The TT-BA06 goes on the TV. It comes with pretty good instructions. The BT-100 goes on the Fusion Stereo. It also comes with good instructions. Follow them exactly. You will need to remove the Fusion unit to get at the appropriate wires. You will need to make a couple of splices for the power and ground.

After the first "pairing," it is automatic when "Aux" is selected on the Fusion unit. Works great. Lower the TV volume to zero or mute, as there is a very slight lag in the Bluetooth process.

We use the Bose sound link and sounds awesome. Plug it in to the head phone jack. We purchased this from Amazon. It is small and portable and blue tooth compatible.

In another thread I mentioned purchasing the TTBA01 - which costs less ($28) and doesn't pair with the Fusion module. I'm glad they now have an updated model.

You will also need the receiver that is wired to the Fusion unit...unless your Fusion unit is already Bluetooth enabled.
 
thanks to tlkenyon for mentioning the new and improved Bluetooth transmitter from SunValleyTek. I had purchased an earlier version that would not pair. When one didn't work, they sent me another - which also did not work. I returned the cheaper, older version (BA-01) and they sent me the "06" at no additional charge. It pairs with the Fusion BT module and despite the slight sound/sync delay, it is workable. I also discovered an even better setup that we use now which is to get an HDMI adaptor for my iphone 5s and I am able to show Netflix perfectly in addition to the nav program on my phone. The benefit is that the sound via the phone to the TV speakers is significantly louder than the DVD. If I want to use the Fusion stereo speakers instead, the iPhone already has the built-in ability to transmit to the Fusion BT module. Netflix via the HDMI adaptor to my iphone and the sound via Bluetooth to the Fusion stereo is our new favorite way to watch something. As a final aside, we purchased an amplified flat square TV antenna that works 1000% better than the antenna in the little dome on the mast. I wish I could figure out why our antenna on "the roof" is so poor.

Which antenna did you purchase? I am not very pleased with the one that came with the boat, but was not aware that there is a better alternative.
 
On the topic of TV audio, the factory setup produces a crystal picture and audio when watching broadcast tv- but after about 15m the sound cuts out - I have to turn off and turn on to get the audio to come back

Huh?? Any ideas??

We had this problem early on with The Majestic TV. I spoke with a representative and re advised there should be a 12V power filter installed inline with the power source. At the time the TV was about a year old and they sent me the filter free of charge. This installation repaired the issue.

I have an Amazon Fire stick in the TV which has built in Bluetooth. Works great to Fusion ( I added Bluetooth receiver), Bluetooth headphones ( for night time viewing ) Or the small inexpensive Bluetooth sound bar I got from Amazon.
Of course only works with what is streaming from the fire stick, so not a complete solution.
