Are you all seeing your marina fees increase by about 10% this year?
Just had my new rate come in and it's up 10%.

The La Conner Marina increased their moorage rates 8%, but the marina offers a 5% discount if paying the annual lease in full. They also started charging for any boat overhang last year.

5% increase @ Gig Harbor Boatyard and Marina. I've only been with them for a month and a half, so this is a pretty big wallop to the wallet!

I finally told my marina goodbye, not because of the cost, which it was at 5K, but the poor service, which is none! Goodbye Hagadone! The beauty of a 25-foot boat that can be easily towed.

relative to inflation my sense is 10% isnt that bad, but I suspect I will continue to see fee increases across the board as the marina was sold last year to a large marina group and they probably see lots of places to increase revenue.
(elliot bay marina)

I am expecting a minimum 15 percent increase in guest moorage fees at every single place we guest dock this summer. But it’s inflation of a different nature - moving from a R-25 to a C-28! I guess we’ll just have to use docks 15 percent less often and anchor out 15 percent more this season to break even!

Des Moines (Tanger Tug capitol of the world!) rates when up 9% in January 2023.

Same as original post, Elliott Bay here and +10%. I've also noticed increases in guest moorage overnight fees in many places, and also more restrictive reservation policies.

For example, Friday Harbor used to open up all reservations at no charge; now there is a $10 charge, 48 hour cancellation policy, 14 day maximum stay, etc. I would expect changes in many places. This is presumably due to both inflation and increases in boating post COVID.

We dock in Huron, Ohio (Lake Erie) and the last couple of years it was 2 or 3 %. This year it's 10%. Not surprised since full time help is scarce and part time is worse yet. Add that to a marina that only has about 6 unsold docks and prices are bound to rise.

East coast on Long Island Sound, 0% increase. Same as last year at a Safe Harbor marina.

Until demand decreases and people stop paying it, inflation won't stop. Our marina was 10% which was already ridiculous. This is my last year there.

My fee at the Richmond Marina (Bay Harbor) here in California went up nearly 19%. May be a Cali thing but it sucks. Were moving to a marina further down the bay where they dont charge nearly as much. Its another under-deliver-over-charge thing here in Cali

These fee increases are tilting the balance to keeping a boat on a trailer when not cruising. We pay $70 a month during the active season for dry storage on the trailer and $0 per month in our driveway for the six off season months. Launching & retrieving is $18 round trip. About $500 per season total for everything.
While not for folks who do short duration outings frequently, it’s perfect for us who only do 5-6 longer cruises per season.
