marking feet on anchor rope

does any one mark off feet on their anchor rope and if so how and in what increments ?

I wrap colored vinyl tape every 25'. If dropping anchor from the cabin, I count 4 seconds to approximate 25'.

Every 30 feet. You can buy Anchor rode markers that are colored and have the feet marked on them

I used three different colors of spray paint and made thick lines at measured intervals

I painted the chain and line with red paint every 20 feet. Just a little paint from a spray can. Second season and it is holding up well.

YOLO uses a West Marine product that measures every 30 feet.

I use colored wire ties. They go right through the winless without any problem.
