Generator just installed over the winter and has less than an hour on it. While preparing to cast off, the genny was running for about five minutes with only the A/C and battery charger to power. As I untie the bow line, I hear the gen shut down. When I get back in the cabin the control panel was dark, ie., no error code to be seen.

Now, the control panel does not turn on and, obviously, I can't start the generator. I checked the two breakers on the gen, neither had tripped. Is there a fuse or breaker that supplies 12v to the generator and/or control panel?

Any help greatly appreciated!

boatagain,
Had the same thing happen to me on my first use! You need to remove the front access panel with the switches. Single screw above the AC on/off switch, remove it and tilt the pane forward to remove it. The switches will have enough wire to allow access. There is a 15 amp fuse for the control panel that I believe you"lol need to replace. Reinstall the panel and everything should be golden. Still can't figure out why mine blew, but I haven't had a problem since. Might just be a faulty stock fuse. Good Luck and let me know if this fixes it!

Snydyzy, thank you SO much for your reply! Glad to know I'm not alone.

I had that panel off but could not locate those fuses. Pouring over the manual, it indicates that they are inside of a small black box at the bottom/center of the panel that looks like a small relay, which is what I assumed it was when I looked. The manual describes the fuses as 3A - 30A. Are they the glass tube type, spade type? Does the black box have a cover that snaps open?

A wee bit more help needed here. 😳 Thanks!

I have seen that more than once . Its and ATC fuse [small blade type] and for some reason the Mase folks put the wrong size in according to their manual. Its 5 amps too small . Replace with what the manual calls for and you will be fine . It does require a little digging in to the control panel.
