Nita and I were in Puerto Vallarta for Thanksgiving so we did not get out a message. We hope all of you had a very Happy Thanksgiving and we wish all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May each New Year get better as we all appreciate them more with age.

Nita/Bob: You too both have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Keep warm up there in Anacortes, and make sure to keep those water pipes warm... Temps down here in Edmonds dipped below 20ºF last night. I had to rush over to my daughter's house yesterday as she had 3 burst copper pipes in her greenhouse... what a mess.

Hi Bob and Nita:

Puerto Vallarta is good; we spent the week in Tucson and stored up lots of Vitamin D. We hope you had a great Thanksgiving as well.

Down to 18 degrees expected tonight on Bainbridge. It was recommended to me that, with my little electric heater in the cabin, I open the inside-the-cabin engine hatch compartment to let a bit of heat into the engine area. But, to be safe, I posted a sign on the outside of the cockpit door -- CAUTION: INSIDE HATCH IS OPEN -- to remind my 67 year old memory before stepping in.

We took advantage of the fantastic weather in the San Juans and cruised to Rosario for Thanksgiving. First time not cooking on the holiday. Not so many leftovers, of course, but then again, not so many calories. 🙂
