We had a chance to visit the Ranger Tugs in-water display at the Miami Boat Show and got a good look at the new R-29. It's just like the R-25 only bigger and better! Maybe it's time for an upgrade?

OK, This one is not a Ranger Tug but I couldn't resist the shot of the Smart Car on top the boat!

The below photo depicts one of the most badly fitting Biminis I have seen on a production boat! Sort of looks like it came from a ill fitted cover on an old calistostoga / prairie wagon. My 2008 R-25 also has a poorly fitting Ranger supplied Bimini that always flaps in the breeze. For the co$t of the factory installed Bimini, I think Ranger could possibly find a supplier who would do a better job! (Click on the below photo)

Henry,
Mine looked like that . It was a poor installation. After reajusting the hoops I got it looking pretty good. In fact mine would collect water in a puddle on top. They couyld have done better on that one.
I do believe for the cost of these things they ought to have screens built in.

The flap is open on the other side, giving half the Bimini nothing to pull against.

That top can be adjusted to be tighter. Or just give it a little more time in the Florida sun. Sunbrella shrinks as it ages in sunlight. If a brand new top is drum tight, it soon won't fit at all, and/or will start tearing seams.

I'm heading down there today, and will adjust that top if I get time. I understand they're pretty busy down there, which is a good thing! 🙂

Snug Tug, Thank you for posting the photos. It was fun to meet you and show you through the R29. What a beautiful day in Miami!
