Anyone in the Midway Ga. area? I'll be relocating to Midway in mid to late June, and need some local information. My house will be on the Ogeechee River. There is a canal that links Ogeechee river to Jerico river that passes under the June St. bridge. I'm trying to find the height over water of the June St. bridge. My Daughter lives on the Jerico river, and this would be a shortcut to her house by boat. The Navigation chart shows 12' of water in the canal, but not the bridge height. DANG!
Thank you!!

I don’t know if this is helpful, but structure 1790021 looks like your guy. http://www.city-data.com/bridges/bridge ... ml#1790021. Shows as a bit over 17 ft and on Google Earth these coordinates come really close to what looks like a bridge over Jones Creek. You might want to follow up with a call to a local marina?

Thanks, but I found out my answer from "The Hull Truth" At high tide (7') a CC with a T top can't fit under, therefore I sure won't.

I looked at Aqua Maps, Navionics, and SEAiq charts but did not see any depth information for the canal. What nav chart were you using to determine the depth? I will be cruising at some point in the SE Georgia area again and I’m trying to correlate what I see on various charts with Google Maps and reality.

Are you still referring to the canal that passes under the June Street bridge on Isle of Wight near Midway, Georgia? The charts I’m looking at show that canal connects the Jericho River with the Laurel View River.

The two places you mention in your latest message, Rockfish Creek and Harvey’s Cut, don’t intersect and are miles from the June Street Bridge. There is a short cut that joins Rockfish Creek and the Ogeechee River north of Ft. McAllister.

Where are you trying to navigate to/from?
