Hey there Bob,

I wanted to let you know that our customer service team will be attending the event on the 5th. We will be there from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm offering any help that is needed. Look forward to seeing everyone there!

We thought we would give you an update of activities for the 4th July weekend at Fishermen’s Terminal.

1. We currently have 21 boats and we are sure the number will grow.
2. As you noticed in the previous message, Andrew and customer service will be at Fishermen’s July 5 to answer and questions and render any assistance.
3. Margarita Bob will be conducting his magic Saturday evening.
4. The best decorated July 4th boat voted by participants and dock guests will receive a prize. So start planning your decorations now!!
5. July 4th dinner will be a typical hotdogs, hamburgers, potato salad, etc.
6. Saturday is potluck and a drawing. We have had some generous donations from vendors and we are hopeful we will have enough donations so everyone is a winner.
7. Daily activities may include cruising Lake Washington and seeing the homes of the elite, photo op of places of interest in Lake Union, and two ground scavenger hunts at Fishermen’s Terminal of which one scavenger hunt will be new this year.
8. A $10 discount coupon will be available to be used on the first night of moorage.
9. The only cost to participants will that of moorage, and any contributions you make in support of some of the activities, and personal expenses.
So this is what we have planned so far and is also subject to change. If you have any ideas, please send a message.

Seoul Survivor will be there but will be on land for the 4th itself. (We'll leave the boat for the night; previous commitment) darn

Do you folks have a confirmed date when you are going through the locks? We'd like to join. We'll be coming down from Sidney BC.

Roman and Deb,
We are excited you will be joining us at Fisherman's along with Nick and family with the Cutwater C-26. Nita and I will be available to help anyone with the locking experience. There will not be a designated group locking but I am sure there will be Fluid Motion boats coming through at the same time. Nita and I plan on being there on Thursday at the latest. Shilshole Bay Marina is part of the Port of Seattle along with Fisherman's so I am sure they would be happy to forward VHF messages received to Fisherman's. I will check on this and let you know. It will be a great event.
We are looking forward to seeing all who attend.

Bob and Nita. As usual you guys are working overtime to make the 4th a great event for all of us. Please let us all know if there are things we can do to defray costs, contribute, bring or to help. That margarita machine doesn't run on water (I hope!).
For anyone new to the lock adventure, there is a great on line video by the corps that is useful. And remember you may need two 50 ft lines if assigned to the big locks. I say this not out of experience but to remind myself to watch it again as we are pretty new to it too! In talking to other boaters one of the important things in the locks is to be prepared for the actions of other boaters. Have a spare line and an extra fender handy in case the other person hasn't watched the video. The lock personnel are helpful and appreciate courtesy and we aren't shy about letting them know we are newbees.

Thanks all - very much appreciated. I'll give you a call on the wknd. If anyone is heading down from Canada and would like to coordinate arrival please let me know. We're planning on making it a 2 or 3 day trip from Sidney.

Nita and I will be going to Fisherman's on Memorial Day for pre-cruise prep, the moorage is going to be very limited
and if you would like to come you must contact Ray at Fisherman's . We are then going to other locations for a few days. If you would like help with locking on the 4th, let us know and we will be available to help. It was suggested that we charge a price on something to help expenses. How about $1.00 for a Margarita, your comments are welcome. This would be the only expense other than moorage.

Bob-

There should not be any "out of pocket" expense for you! I am all for contributing my share of what you pay out of your pocket.

Your time doesn't count as all you retired folks have more of it than you could ever use. 😉

Count us in on the margarita kitty! And Paul will welcome the opportunity to serve the bartender a Manhattan at the end of his shift 😉

Hi Bob

I understand we are supposed to contact Ray at fisherman terminal do you have a telephone number for him?

Hi Dennis and Darleen,

Ray can be reached at (206) 728-3395 or for reservations just talk to someone in the office. For those coming from B.C. when you arrive and would like locking assistance, call Shilshole Bay Marina on VHF and they will call Fisherman's for you, this will save you a expensive phone call.

Bob.
